St Jean En Royans, Rhone Alps

We decided to drive south from Annecy, in search for some sunshine and warmer weather. After 4 hours driving on the roads, it’s time to find a place to stop, perhaps for the night.

We arrived at St Jean En Royans, a small quiet town, in the heart of the French Alps.

As we arrive at a reasonable time, we find a spot to park for the night and go to explore the town.

We liked the way everything in the town works well around the square which is a walking distance from the aire to the shops. Everything you need is there, Pharmacy, bakery, restaurants, and cafe’.

The atmosphere is pleasantly friendly.

We stayed here for two lovely nights, before deciding to keep heading south.
