Enjoy the Journey

Follow our journey as we tour in our Hymie around Britain and Europe.

Aire at Montélimar, Rhone Alps, France

After a long drive, we decided it was best to find an Aire for the night. The Aire at Montélimar was ideal as it is close to the motorway.

The Satnav guided us to take a right turn, up a narrow street; however, there is another, much wider entrance just ahead by the shops.

At first, the Aire looked very busy. Just as we were thinking about making a U-turn, a man who was sitting outside his van with his family, pointed at a space near his van, and shouted “you want to park here mate!”

Hey, another fellow Brit!

We parked up and enjoyed a nice cup of tea with our British neighbors.

At the time of our arrival, the machine wasn’t working, and we couldn’t get fresh water, but our stay was for free, normally it would have been €4.

The Aire is not far from shops, and trust our boys to find the nearest McDonald’s restaurant, a short walk away.
