Enjoy the Journey

Follow our journey as we tour in our Hymie around Britain and Europe.

Aire at Biscarrosse Plage, Atlantic

This is a large, busy Aire. It is about 1 km away from the beach, in a wooded area. The ground is fairly soft. We paid €15 per night. Pay on exit, by the barrier. All services for the motorhome are included.

Biscarrosse Plage

Biscarrosse Plage (beach)

The beach is clean, no dogs are allowed. There are lifeguards on the beach and tide times, weather conditions are written on a board by the entrance to the beach.

Just sit back and watched the carnage around high-tide time…

Red Squirrel

Red Squirrel

I came across this young red squirrel when we came back from the beach. He was casually crossing the woods when I spotted him.

I hoped he wouldn’t disappear while I change my prime lens into a zoom lens. He didn’t! He just sat there, watching me move just a little closer, just enough to get a perfect shot.

As we walked around the Aire in Biscarrosse, we came across this bus. It stood out with its brilliant colours, a nice different kind of motorhome with a nice character to it. No one was home at the time 😦
